60th Anniversary of the March on Washington

“It’s not a commemoration, it’s a continuation!”-National Action Network

ree

“Dear Son,” [my mother] wrote to me. “I went through the war years, the relocation camp, with the loss of almost every civil right. … We MUST take our place in this peaceful demonstration with over 100 other organizations because we are a visible minority and our participation would be meaningful. … I will stand up and be counted, too. I hope you will be at my side.” How could I say no? JACL Member and leader Todd Endo, in an interview by AARP August 15, 2023
